Safety and Environmental Protection Policy acknowledges AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK A.Ş.’s commitment to Safety and its intent to maintain ongoing compliance with the ISM code.

AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK  A.Ş. Complies with the statutory requirements and ISM to meet or exceed the requirements for Safety and Environmental controls and Prevention of Pollution.

The success of AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK A.Ş. depends on our commitment to employee involvement, continuous improvement, and improved business performance goals. The Safety and Environmental Protection Policy is relevant to AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK  A.Ş.’s organisational goals and meets the requirements of ISM nad the customer.

It is AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK A.Ş.’s intention to ensure by consistent application of our Safety management System, that our Safety Standards are maintained at all times. AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK  A.Ş. recognises the need to have an active policy that both proetects the environment and promotes good working practices that are designed to minimise the effects of pollution.

The company will comply with all legislation, offical codes of practice and other statutory practices which impact on the Environmental Protection of the Air, Land and Water during the operation of its business.

The policy is communicated to employees through displays and communications.
It is reviwed and revised as required to reflect AKARLAR TAŞIMACILIK A.Ş.’s ongoing commitment to Safety and customer requirements.

All the employees participate the collective achivement of this goal and particular attention is being given to:
1.Good House Keeping
2.Methods of Work
3.Identification of Potential Hazards
4.Encouraging good and effective communication between management ashore and shipboard personnel in all matters.
5.Encouraging and motivating the interests and cooperation of all employees in all matters affecting Safety and Environment.
6.All hazardous or potentially hazardous materials/substances that could have a detrimental effect on the environmenta must be stored  and used in accordance with recomendations issued by manufacturers or administrations.
7.All garbage, refuse and items that have completed their useful service life shall be disposed of in such a manner so as not  to cause a Pollution hazard, risk or injury to the Environment or third parties and in accordance with all statutory requirements.

All employees shall make themselvesfamiliar and conform to this policy on Environment Protection at all times. Alcohol is not allowed before and during working hours. Any seamen reported drunk just before or during working hours would be punished.
All incidents of serious or potentially serious nature are investigated and recommendations communicated through line management where appropriate.
